This is a wonderful color photo. All my views of that period are of more nearly drab blacks, whites, and grays. It’s fascinating to see the rich colors people actually available.

I love this one! For the richness of the colours and for the fact that he might have been a jeweller. My brother was a bench-jeweller by trade, he’d love this portrait. It does indeed look like a painting.
